Description of Role/Responsibilities:
Design (functional and technical) and implement complex BI Solution for a specific technology set that includes extract, transform & load, integration with external systems, real time/batch etc. Responsible for designing the interfaces to/from Source and Destination Systems and working with the data / integration managers from other practice areas.
Provide technical leadership in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of a specific Business Intelligence technology. Provide business intelligence subject matter expertise on workability of designs, architecture, and testing with regard to end user enablement and self-service.
Lead the effort to define and enhance business intelligence development standards. Identify new technologies that can be incorporated to improve the performance / usability.
Lead discussions with Business Analysts and/or other members of their technical team during requirements gathering and provide guidance on writing technical specifications.
Provide support to developers and testers providing support for ad hoc technical requests. Work with Technology Vendor to escalate and resolve any BI related technical issues.
Engage with internal support groups and provide recommendations to enable reliable and scalable operations for BI related initiatives.
Effectively communicate technical architecture needs and issues with management and client personnel of varying technical backgrounds.
Perform knowledge transfer to the support team down the road and participation in the key support initiatives for BI Implementation.
Required Skills:
4-6 years of hands on development experience with large scale enterprise Microsoft BI projects , specifically SSAS. Must understand and develop best practices for design, development and deployment of SSAS cubes
Experience in design and development of complex SSAS cubes with calculated measures, many-to-many relationships, time intelligence and dynamic security
Experience with MDX scripting
Must have performance tuning experience on SSAS cubes as well as application/database/network/operating system.
Experience with the full Microsoft BI suite (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, BIDS) with past implementations in projects
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Good leadership, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Experience with SSAS Scale-out architecture preferred
